SPOTLIGHT
ON MISSIONS:
Downtown Daily Bread -
Volunteers help serve lunch in downtown Harrisburg
on a regular basis. Scheduled days to serve are the 2nd, 4th, and 5th
Mondays of the month. Food and clothing is also collected for
distribution.
HELP Ministries – A ministry of
Christian Churches United for local people needing emergency assistance with
food, shelter, medication, travel, and fuel.
HEIFER International – A project
whose philosophy involves turning recipients into donors. Each recipient of
a Heifer animal promises to give back to the community by passing on an
off-spring of their animal to a neighbor in need-extending the reach of hope
to create a living chain of giving.
